Recently, we saw media has changed the perception of people in our country..when it comes to sexual violence..gone are the days people used to shy away from the topic..Nirbhaya case has changed a lot in our country..when people came in open to protest ..didn’t we see that when we finally started talking about it..the people involved were not spared..and not only this it led to change in the juvenile laws related to rape cases..doesn’t this speak volumes in itself…do still think we should shy away from reporting sexual violence cases..

women in different parts of our country are treated with their own rules..they are married earlier..not allowed to speak ..harassed by neighbors, some by family members they are taught to keep quiet..if at all the society come to know, it will be a bad for the family ..so called badnaami.... Haven’t we heard from our politicians and aunties..that its we girls who are responsible for the mishaps..we should not dress in a provocative manner.. and all that..

Why do offices or schools ..they prefer to suppress the matters of sexual violence..because they don’t want their business to be affected..so we girls..we need to #KnowOurRights ..we will not keep quiet..we will go ahead and report these matters..we have to change how India thinks..we will not let the next generation suffer..women of tomorrow..should be bold ..to report..

Things are definitely changing..change is in the air..but the word needs spread, we need to bring the awareness..every women need to know her rights..we wont spare anyone…even if the person is our neighbor or relative..we will not be scared to report against them…we wont be victims anymore..we need to take that pledge right away..don’t suffer from sexual violence and don’t let anyone suffer..we need to report the culprits..otherwise that fear among them will not be there..we all need to stand for ourselves..

For reporting such heinous crimes we need to know the procedures  of reporting ..we need to know how to report and  FIR ..and this process is not difficult, Amnesty International has launched the #KnowYourRights campaign, which is a people’s rights educational program aimed at informing people of their basic rights via free educational modules on digital and physical media because knowing one’s rights gives one the confidence to take action.
